The chart for the common mid-stakes pitch game: two decks, dealer hits soft 17, double after split allowed, no surrender. At 3:2 it's a genuinely good game (+0.43% with this chart) — usually the best table in the house after a full-rules single deck. Every cell is generated for exactly these rules by the engine behind the free blackjack trainer; the shoe version lives at the 6-deck basic strategy chart.

No surrender cells appear because most 2-deck games don't offer it. If yours does — or restricts doubling to 10–11 — flip those rules in the interactive chart and the grid regenerates.
What changes vs the 6-deck chart
Coming from the standard shoe chart (6 decks, H17, DAS, late surrender), these are the 10 cells that play differently here — engine-diffed, with the rule that drives each change. The tighter pack adds the 9 vs 2 double and two extra splits (6,6 vs 7 and 7,7 vs 8), and A,7 vs 2 goes back to standing; the rest is the missing surrender option falling back to hit.

Double-deck questions
Is double deck better than six decks?
Rule for rule, yes — going from six decks to two is worth about 0.18% to the player, more than the H17/S17 difference. But casinos know that, so 2-deck tables often pair the deck advantage with worse rules or a 6:5 payout. Compare the full packages with the house edge calculator before assuming the pitch game wins.
Why so few strategy changes from the shoe chart?
Two decks sit much closer to six than to one — card-removal effects scale with how small the pack is. Single deck moves a dozen cells; double deck only moves the closest borderline calls, which is why the table above is short.
Anything special about counting a double deck?
It's the classic counter's game — the true count moves fast, and pitch-game etiquette (cards dealt face down, one hand holding) is its own skill. The trainer's 2-deck mode replicates the shuffle cadence, and the deviation chart covers the index plays once basic is automatic.
